Robot Control Software — 2013/14
What started out as a nights and weekend project at Bot & Dolly, turned into the basis of a multiyear research initiative, exploring the future of industrial manufacturing. The initial proof of concept software, BUILD, was a robot motion control plugin for Rhinoceros 3d to design, simulate and program 6 axis robots.
Over two years we iterated on software and hardware through dozens of internal physical prototypes. Each prototype pressed on the range of manufacturing scenarios from additive, subtractive to assembly.
